E. L. Klein grew up in Grey County, Ontario. He started his career in the literary department at The Characters Agency reading scripts for film and television. His fiction has been published in Acta Victoriana, The Northern Appeal, and The Antigonish Review, among others. He’s a contributing travel writer for InsideHook. In June 2023, he featured on Monocle Radio. He’s based in Montreal, Quebec.
